Hey and welcome to my bio! A little bit about my professional background and my approach, I am a systematically trained Licensed Marriage and Family therapist who enjoys working with a variety of clients with a diverse range of concerns. I will be your biggest and loudest cheerleader while respectfully holding you accountable in making changes. I am passionate about relational issues, family dynamics, reproductive health and substance abuse.Some other areas of interest include but are not limited to: depression, anxiety, recovery, trauma, grief, life transitions, ADHD, parenting and self-esteem. As a standard practice, my approach combines solution focused, person-centered, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral and trauma informed.
My counseling style is engaging and person-first. I am pragmatic and direct while being compassionate and understanding. It is important to me to be able to collaborate with you and meet you where you are at each interaction by incorporating different therapeutic techniques. Identifying and setting your goals is a team-effort, and together we will work at your comfort level to effectively establish and achieve goals that are tailored to your life while developing healthy skills that encourage self-discovery. I will assist you in managing your emotions, building self-confidence, setting boundaries and overall living a healthier lifestyle.
When I am not working I am enjoying time with family and friends. I love being social and I live a relatively fast-paced but manageable life. I disconnect and ground myself while cycling, reading, sitting on a beach or enjoying a cup of coffee.
